BECOME AN EARTH KEEPER
Mend our relationship with our home,
Mother Earth,
She needs us now more than ever.
Earth Keepers make a commitment to not take more than we need from the Earth. And to give back, to try and leave our home better then we found it. When we acknowledge we are all connected, and what we do matters, we can make our actions a force for good and healing. We can all come together to take care of our Home.

Native Plant Garden
This Spring Erin and her husband took out a good portion of their front lawn and turned it into a native plant garden. It was a small step to make a big difference for the birds and pollinators. Why a Native Plant Garden? Planting wildflowers and other flowering plants is beautiful. But there’s so many other benefits to removing your grass and planting native plants.
HELPS CLIMATE CHANGE
Planting lots of plants as opposed to putting gravel in your yard will combat the heat island effect, will create more oxygen, and will help our Planet!
PROMOTE BIODIVERSITY
Native Plants evolved with native wildlife. There are many butterflies that will only lay their eggs on specific species. Planting natives as opposed to non-natives provides food and homes for our pollinators
LOW MAINTENANCE
Once established native plants don’t need to be mowed, fertilized, etc. They evolved with the local soils and climate, so they are hardier than non-native plants

Native Plants use less water than grass! They evolved to thrive in your local conditions. Conserving water is becoming a critical issue in much of America

Mother Earth, or Pachamama as she is called in the Andean language, is our home. She nourishes and sustains all life. And yet many of us have forgotten our connection with Her. We live on top of her, not with her. We have lost our connection with the seasons, the cycles of the Earth and Moon and Stars. We have lost our connection with our brothers and sisters, plants and animals.
And so we feel alone and isolated. But we can restore that connection. We can feel the heart beat of the Earth and let it reconnect with our own heart.
We can come back to Ayni (Ay-nee), an Andean word that means reciprocity and mutualism. It is a concept that if we give today, tomorrow we will be provided for. That everything is connected and that if we are in right relationship with the Earth she will be our greatest provider.
How can we come back to Ayni? How can we reconnect with the Earth?
As an Earth Keeper, Erin works to restore that connection – offering ceremonies, writings, blogs and meditations that will help each of us come back into harmony with each other and the planet.
She also wrote the book AYNI as a first step into helping us rebuild that world. May we all learn to live in Ayni, to reconnect with Pachamama, and reconnect with each other.
